USANA Health Sciences Nutrimeal Review

USANA Health Sciences Nutrimeal Review
Reading Time: 2 minutesNutrimeal Free by USANA Health Sciences is a plant based protein powder that has a subtle taste and is not intended to be overbearing. There is actually little to no taste with this product (so they say). We will do more research to see if this is a true statement, or just another marketing ploy to get Nutrimeal Free off the shelves. It is meant to help reduce cravings and provide substantial energy and greater longevity throughout the day.* This product is made with all natural ingredients, but mindful that Nutrimeal Free is manufactured on equipment that also processes products containing wheat, milk, eggs, and soybeans. Per serving there are 15 grams of protein as well as 8 grams of fiber. There are many flavors: Free (no flavor, strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla.

The product is rather pricey with one pouch (9 servings) costing nearly $40.00! Yikes. That would not serve well if you wanted to drink 1-2 shakes a day, as the pouch would run out rather quickly. USANA states that the drink mix is fructose free, dairy free, soy free, gluten free, and vegetarian friendly. That is great, but what is actually in the product itself? They do not give any insight to this valuable piece of information anywhere on their website. This product has not been increasingly popular in the protein powder world, nor in the diet world and we will soon find out why.

Do Dieters Lose Weight On Nutrimeal Shakes?

This is not a product exclusively made for weight loss (like a supplemental pill would be), but it has the tendency to do the job. It is an allergen free protein powder that is meant to be free of anything potentially harmful to you or your health.* There were absolutely no weight loss success stories linked with this product, which has me asking the question, why?

Are Nutrimeal Shakes Easy To Follow?

No, and here’s why. The taste, texture, and smell have been noted to be awful. Some words to describe this protein powder: sawdust, earthy, grainy, mealy, and unappetizing. It was said to be like blending sawdust together with some liquid, and berries. No wonder the ingredient list is nowhere to be found. It may actually be sawdust after all. With the taste, texture, and price point Nutrimeal Free has to offer, there is no wonder it is not a huge hit in the nutritional and diet worlds alike. There are far too many other brands that produce a higher quality and better tasting protein powder than USANA.

Conclusion

While Nutrimeal started off on a promising foot, it only leaves you feeling awful with a sawdust like aftertaste in your mouth. Not to mention the grainy texture you get even after you add bananas, berries, and liquid. The price point is extremely high for the small amount of servings you are actually getting, especially since the taste is less than impressive. Save your money and your appetites for a tastier, yet healthy protein powder that you feel confident spending your hard earned money on. They are out there, so stay informed and educated!
