[2] Quite a claim. How?

New SLIMQUICK Pure with BioPure Green Tea™ allows for three times the absorption of fat burning agents called catechins and you can lose three times the weight.* 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed or you get your money back.
In a study, overweight women using SLIMQUICK Pure’s key ingredient along with a 1,350-calorie diet lost an average of three times the weight compared to those who just followed the 1,350-calorie diet! In fact, these women lost an average of 25 pounds in just 13 weeks!* [3]
The one study they cite (among literally thousands of studies going on each year in various scientific fields) allegedly concludes that “the active ingredients in the SLIMQUICK formula …work to burn fat, reduce appetite and increase energy.” [4] We’ll take a look at the science behind that claim in a minute. SlimQuick makes it clear that it’s only effective as claimed when you consume its products while on a calorie-restricted diet of 1500 calories a day or less, and with regular cardio exercise; get that heart rate up and that sweat dripping. I mean, you’d lose weight alone if you did the above, but with the addition of the SlimQuick Pure formula, you’ll supposedly lose three times as much weight. Or will you? And what about SlimQuick for men? The New SlimQuick Pure Men 3x is formulated specifically for men and claims to help guys lose three times the weight in a calorie-restricted diet with the supplement than without it. [5]

back to menu ↑The Science (or Lack Thereof) Behind SlimQuick
The one clinical study cited by SlimQuick is the 2009 Alternative Medicine Review-published study “GreenSelect® Phytosome as an Adjunct to a Low-Calorie Diet for Treatment of Obesity: A Clinical Trial,”
…found that subjects who ingested the green tea extracts formula (monoselect camellia—MonCam—or green tea extracts), the ingredients of which is contained in SlimQuick, while on the same calorie-restricted diet as the other subjects on the clinical trial 30 pounds in 90 days versus 11 pounds for this just doing the 1350 calories-a-day diet. So according to this study the claim of three times the weight seems to be on target. [8] (kilograms converted to pounds)
The study concluded that, “…taking into consideration the high safety profile of the product and the total absence of adverse effects observed during and after the trial, MonCam appears to be a safe and effective tool for weight loss.” [8] And a study published in the journal Nature, based on European scientific research on the efficacy of green tea extracts in general and how effective they are in activating thermogenesis, was pretty compelling. [9] It’s not all 100-percent fresh peaches and low-fat cream, though. There are side effects, though I suspect not averse enough to prevent healthy people from trying the supplement. First, for people that have heart problems, the green tea extracts might be too much because of the high level of catechins. But, as pointed out in Livestrong,
Green tea also interacts with a number of medications, including blood pressure pills, blood thinners, anti-anxiety meds and birth control, and it may increase or decrease their effectiveness. [10]
Make sure to check with your doctor before you start SlimQuick, especially if you’re on any meds or have any issues with your heart, blood pressure, blood, kidneys, thyroid…you know the drill. You’d do that anyway, but just a gentle reminder.

Let’s look at some SlimQuick Pure reviews. A popular place to buy SlimQuick is at Wal-Mart. I looked only at very recent reviews and ones where there was no incentive (ie., free product). Reviews with pictures are always helpful as well. “Ashley,” who reviewed SlimQuick in June of 2017 was ecstatic. And in her review, unabashed and honest. And showed proof with before and after pictures.
I have lost 55 pounds so far with this SlimQuick. I sit at a desk 40 hours a week and do not exercise much at all. (I don’t sit from the time I get home till the time I go to bed or on weekends- if that counts-haha) I am doing low-carbs and only drinking water with Mio. … [11]
(This is a liquid supplement drop with caffeine and vitamins which can be added to water as a flavoring and energy booster.)
… These SlimQuick pills have seriously changed my life! I have always been bottom heavy and after having my kids I gained 68 lbs with my first and 40 with my 2nd child. I was miserable and no energy EVER. This has given me my energy back. I feel great and do not almost cry every time I look in the mirror now. Still have more to go but I highly recommend this to anyone who has tried everything under the sun before with no results. This stuff really works, just stick to it! Don’t give up. I never thought I would be able to lose weight but I did it. I started at 278 pounds and I am now 223 pounds. Good luck!” [11]
On Amazon though, of nearly 500 reviews, SlimQuick Pure Extra Strength averaged just 2.6 stars. Seventy-nine reviewers rated it 5-star, though, and many said they lost weight and had a lot more energy. [12] Reviewer “Maria” says she lost 20 pounds and “this helped with my migraines.” [13] “A. Jones” complemented it as a good diet aid but offered people some solid advice, noting that they’d used a lot of diet products over the years and comparatively, SlimQuick is “pretty solid”— but doesn’t do a thing if you don’t put in the work.
This is not a miracle pill. Just something to help increase your progress and help you stay loyal to your diet plan. It even states this multiple times through the description and on the package. Overall this is a great supplement to add to my day to day dieting and it doesn’t have any nasty side effects. Only downfall is the amount of pills you have to take so a bottle barely lasts a month but that’s pretty much the going rate with any diet pill. [14]
But 121 reviewers (a full 33 percent of reviews) gave it 1 star. The complaints ranged from “no good” to “didn’t work for me” and worse. Like “Kelley Washington” who posted a review in mid-July 2017 says that while she is not sure if SlimQuick works for her, it was worrisome:
This definitely wasn’t for me. I took the smaller daily dose recommended and I just didn’t like how it made me feel. It made me feel jittery (yes, I took it with food as directed), made me feel light headed after a few hours, gave me dull chest pains, and made me not want to eat at all. I had to force myself to eat. I’m not saying it just doesn’t work, it’s just not for me. Please approach with caution! [15]
“Tyates43” advised folks to “save your money.”
After reading the reviews I had hope this might help with my weight loss. I didn’t realize how many pills it would require and after a few nights of no sleep I’m giving up. This product didn’t do anything it advertised! Save your money! [16]
back to menu ↑The Bottom Line: Is SlimQuick Worth a Try?
Depends. If you have any medical conditions—including problems with your heart, blood or organs like your kidneys—you should probably just avoid it. Or, if you’re on any meds that might be contraindicated (which in a kind of cruel irony, include some meds used by the very people who could benefit from weight loss) check with your physician. Otherwise, green tea extracts are generally safe, and combined with healthy calorie-restricted eating and lots of exercise, you may lose more weight with SlimQuick than without it.
