The New Lifestyle Diet Review

The New Lifestyle Diet Review
Reading Time: 3 minutesThe New Lifestyle Diet is meant to help people control their weight loss, as well as maintain it. The company was founded by a man named Hamilton Erridge in 2004 after he lost over 100 pounds on his own. This was not an easy process for him, and he struggled to keep the weight off, as many times it can creep back on.* Through trial and error of working with different nutritionists and speaking to counselors about his weight struggle, he decided to start his own company that can help individuals struggling with the same issues he faced. In 2004, the New Lifestyle Diet opened its doors and started manufacturing their own food for dieters to choose. Hamilton saw this hurdle of choosing the wrong foods as the number one reason people gain weight.* There have been other modalities of growing the business, as Hamilton wrote a book in 2007 called “Creating Your New Lifestyle.” In 2009, a new published book written by Hamilton and a co-author named “New Lifestyle Diet Transition and Maintenance Guide” hit the shelves, and in 2011 they released an application for the iPhone. No other updates or changes have been recorded (so this is a little outdated as you can already see.) To get ahold of the company: 866-321-2747 or contact them via e-mail on their website.*

Do Dieters Lose Weight On The New Lifestyle Diet?

There are two separate programs – one for men and one for women. The women are only allowed 1080 calories, and the men are only allowed 1230 calories per day. Many if not all of these calories are coming from the company’s food products, such as puddings, shakes, bars, and drinks.* There are a few items such lean meats and veggies that get thrown in at dinner, but that’s about it. Because of the low caloric intake, it could pose a threat to the metabolism slowing, as fasting is occurring. Dieters have been reporting more negative reviews than positive ones, as the products do not taste great, which makes long-term weight loss extremely hard to achieve.

Is The New Lifestyle Diet Easy To Follow?

This program seems as if it would be easy to follow, but you are cornered into buying their products, which are actually a lot more expensive than most weight loss products, once you tack on the shipping. According to customer testimonials, the prepackaged foods are also not that great tasting and this is pretty much what you will be eating all day long, which makes for a difficult time enjoying the weight loss process, especially for the long term. The goal is not to lose a quick 10 pounds, but rather try to implement a lifestyle change.* For the expense, convenience, and taste reasons, this diet is already quite a headache.

Conclusion

While it is nice to have a founder who has been in the same shoes as the customer, it also seems to be an expensive – and in some ways unrealistic – way to lose weight. Any calories that are burned with exercise are not going to be added to your caloric number for the day, which may result in the body going into a starvation mode, which can cause serious hunger.* This kind of result is not going to deem well for the customer, as the goal is to make a lifestyle change while not starving yourself into oblivion or depriving the body from proper nutrition and then expect the weight to stay off. This is not the worst diet on the market I have seen, but it is definitely not the most impressive, especially after hearing what the real customers have to say.* The diet and support is also outdated, and has not really seen much improvement since 2012, as most current programs and diet plans really strive to adapt to the new, smarter customer who is much more informed about what a healthy lifestyle should look like.
