Insanity Review

Insanity Review
Reading Time: 2 minutesInsanity was created by fitness guru Shaun T. and was produced by Beach Body, a company that is known for their extreme workout series. Like many of the other Beach Body products, Insanity fits the bill and offers a high intensity workout routine six days per week coupled with a nutrition plan.

Insanity contains nine different workouts and is broken up into two different one month intervals. The entire program is meant to last 60 days and if followed properly the results that are promised are out of this world.

Do Dieters Lose Weight On The Insanity Diet?

Insanity workouts are said to burn up to 1,000 calories per hour. At six days per week dieters will certainly lose weight with Insanity if they adhere to the exercises and the nutrition plan.*

However, each workout with Insanity is high impact and considered elite training. There is no toned down version so those deciding to use Insanity should already have some level of fitness under their belts.

Is The Insanity Diet Easy To Follow?

Insanity is laid out nicely and the nutrition guide offers recipes and sample meal plans. The workouts are also laid out in advance so dieters know what is coming with each day. But, Insanity is anything but easy.

Dieters just getting into fitness will likely find Insanity is too extreme for them. After all, the program requires six intensive cardio based workouts per week, each lasting around an hour. For those who are not used to any physical activity, this type of workout can prove to do more harm than good.

In addition, there is some concern that comes with the balance of the nutrition plan. While it will help reduce calories, each meal requires carbohydrates. This type of carbo-loading can prove costly to weight loss results if dieters slack off in even the slightest of ways.

Conclusion

Insanity is what it says it is; insane. The workouts put out by Shaun T. are nothing less than crazy. Yes, completing the 60-day Insanity program would likely result in weight loss, but you have to actually complete it. That is easier said than done.

While the Insanity program is not too outrageous in regards to price at around $120 plus shipping, the program itself is outrageous. It is certainly not for those who are just getting into the world of good health and should really only be considered by those who already have at least somewhat of a handle on diet and exercise.
